My first visit to Russia was in May of 1999. I traveled with a group of students and professors from my university. We spent two weeks in Moscow, and four in St. Petersburg; it was a whirlwind introduction to Russian culture, but by the end of six weeks, I was in love. At the beginning of February 2000, I returned to Russia for seven fantastic months, studying at Petersburg State Technical University and interning with the Leningrad Regional Press Center. I fully integrated myself into life in Russia, and it was an incredible experience. During 2005-2006 I worked as a teacher of English as a Second Language (ESL) at a school called the American Home, located in the city of Vladimir, Russia. My time in Vladimir was wonderful, and I enjoyed nearly every minute of it. For a day-to-day account of my adventures in Vladimir, please visit From Russia With Blog. During my eleven months in Russia, I was able to do a lot of traveling. I saw a lot of the countryside, and even made it out to Siberia. I hope you enjoy my tales and photos as much as I enjoyed my experiences. Simply click on the links at the top to view my photographs.
